About Us
Blue Horizon Fishing is a full-service fly fishing outfitter and fishing lodge, servicing Southern Belize. We are honored to be recognized as the 2023 Orvis Endorsed International Fly Fishing Lodge of the Year. Our English-speaking guides are some of the most famous, respected, and requested guides in the Caribbean. Our main base of operations in at the newly rebuilt Blue Horizon Lodge, that is perfect for anglers of all ability levels. We also offer day trips to travelers staying in Hopkins, Placencia, and any surrounding islands (Cayes) and villages.
We offer fly fishing lodging packages that meet a variety of needs; whether you are a seasoned angler looking to focus on fishing the best tides on the best flats with the best guides, or if you are traveling with your family or work group, we have the fishing package to meet your needs. We offer various fly fishing packages through Blue Horizon Lodge and other Muy’Ono Resorts. Each resort has a unique quality to it and allows us to create the ideal experience that will fit all of your and your group’s needs.
The fishing grounds, coined Permit Alley, are known for expansive pancake flat systems teeming with marine life and, most importantly, tailing permit. There is no better place to fish for tailing permit in shallow water than Permit Alley. Add Blue Horizon’s expert guides to the equation and you have an unfair advantage. The area is rich in other species as well, including large schools of bonefish, resident and migratory tarpon, and many other reef species.
